Two aluminium wings are each connected to their central tube on a joint mounted in ball bearings. Beyond the joints, solid steel cylinders placed on the tube approximately neutralise the weight of the wings. The residual weight is overcome by the air stream of the fans placed in front of each wing. The sluggish and irregular movements taking place here remind one of a large bird s instinctive reaction to turbulence.
